Vintage luxury: as passenger flights looked in the 50s
In today's world you kind of forget about how it was cool to fly on iron bird in the sky. But in the 50's people have not been spoiled by air travel. In those times the food on Board was served not in lunch boxes and porcelain plates, passengers could stretch their legs and even sleep on the beds.
Let's see what it was like to fly airplanes in 50 years.
Like fashion, passenger liners has really changed since the 1950-ies.
The aisles between the seats were much roomier.
The passenger compartment held only 18 seats.
In addition to the inclined seats were located upstairs beds.
Night flight was even more comfortable.
In the aircraft there was even a special relaxation area for passengers.
They used soft colors so as not to tire the eyes of travelers.
Passengers could stretch their legs, sitting in their chairs.
The pilots monitored the temperature in the cabin, making it comfortable.
The flight attendants were putting the finished food on the plates, carrying serving trays.
And a bonus: on Board there was even a real bar.
