Surreal photos taken with an old camera

Oleg Oprisko is a talented photographer from Lviv who creates amazing surreal images of girls - goddesses of earth, water, fire and air. It is they who, with the advent of the new season, repaint the foliage in a different color, it is they who sew long blankets of greenery, with which they then cover the ground, it is they who caress your face, touching with a light breeze in the fields. There is one significant thing that distinguishes him from other photographers working in similar subjects - Oprisko takes pictures using an old film camera. This fact means that everything you see in these pictures is obtained naturally, without the use of digital technologies.

1. “I develop the concept of photography, create clothes, think over the features of hair and makeup. Before shooting, I think over the overall color scheme. In accordance with the chosen palette, I select clothes, props, location and everything else, ”explains Oleg.

2. He uses Kyiv-6C, Kyiv-88 cameras and various lenses.

3. Oprisco is seriously passionate about his work: "Each of my photographs conveys scenes from real life, which is the perfect source of inspiration for me, thanks to its incredible beauty of the universe."

4. “I often give seminars and I am faced with a very funny situation when photographers are sitting in front of me with 2000-3000 dollars cameras and lenses, and on my table there is an old Kiev 6C, the price of which is 50 dollars.

5. Oleg became interested in photography at the age of 16, after which he began to photograph friends and acquaintances. “At the age of 18, I moved to Kyiv, where I became an assistant to a famous advertising photographer. We worked together for four years, but this work did not bring me pleasure. There was no creativity in it, only commerce. When I turned 23, I started from scratch, creating images that are close to me.”

6. Oleg wants to give some advice to novice photographers: “Photograph, photograph and photograph again. What else can you say? Quit your job if you feel that photography is your calling. Freedom ... happiness ... money - all this will come with time, but after you let go of this desire and just start photographing for the soul.
