Erwin Blumenfeld (Erwin Blumenfeld) was born in Berlin in 1897. He started photography since the age of 11. The talent of the photographer was influenced by the currents of Dada.
After the First World war photographer married and lived 17 years in Holland, where he perfected his skills. In 1936 he moved to Paris and held his first photo exhibition. In 1941 Blumenfeld emigrated to the United States.
His work can be seen on the covers of famous fashion magazines like Look, Life, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. He became the highest-paid a freelance photographer in new York, but I prefer to consider myself an Amateur, choosing as subjects that attracted him the most. Especially attracted masters of landscapes, sculpture, architecture, and especially women.
The photographer died in Rome in 1969, at the age of 71.
