The creatures and plants from his paintings not only do not exist in reality, but also absolutely contradict human logic and the laws of nature. This is absolutely normal, because Hattori does not depict real objects, but emotions, feelings and images, giving them the appearance of fantastic animals, flowers and human-like creatures.
Naoto Hattori was born in 1975 in Yokohama in a family of ordinary office workers. Drawing fascinated the boy only in high school, it turned into a real passion, taking up all the free time on his hands. When the young artist graduated from school, he no longer had any doubts that his vocation for life was painting and graphics.
Hattori began studying graphic design at a college in Tokyo, and continued his education at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2000, he received a bachelor's degree and completely immersed himself in work. Naoto Hattori is a real workaholic who gives himself completely to work. The artist is very productive and annually presents dozens of new works.
Hattori's exhibitions are held all over the world, and his amazing paintings are highly appreciated by publishers and collectors. Masters are often invited as a designer to find solutions for the design of various modern objects and the result of his work is always amazing.
It is not surprising that Naoto is often asked questions about how images for his paintings are born. On this occasion , the artist says this:
