Colin Pool is originally from Washington, DC, USA. After high school, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Connecticut, majoring in metal sculpture. In search of new means of expression in painting, he explored various techniques and directions before discovering oil painting. Given the not quite specialized education, Colin can safely be called a self-taught artist who managed to achieve recognition around the world. The works of the master of painting are exhibited in galleries around the world and adorn the collections of famous collectors.

Kristine Pool was born in Novi, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northern Michigan University, graduating with a degree in ceramic sculpture. After training with master potter John Glick and glassmaker Stephen Hourigan, she learned the process of casting bronze while working at the Shidoni Foundry in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her current works include sculptures made of baked clay and bronze.

For another 20 years, Colin and Kristin moved to Santa Fe, but fate brought them together only in 2008, when they danced the tango at one of the parties. A year later, the couple got married in Greece and since then have been inseparable in life and work. Colin and Kristin quickly found a common language, as both are fond of the art of the ancient era, as well as ancient myths and legends.

That is why there are so many stories in the works of the couple from the mythology of both Greek and Roman, as well as those born in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and China. Many people think that it is difficult for two creative people to work together, but Colin says this about it:

The Pool couple's work is fantastic and very technical. The imagination of artists can only be envied – it is hard to believe that the sculptures were created by modern masters who live near us.

One day, after a prestigious exhibition that brought another success to Colin and Kristin, journalists asked them: "Where are you going now", referring to future plans for participation in the exhibitions. To this the husband and wife replied with a smile: "Nowhere yet-let's take a little walk through the fields of our imagination."
