By Pictolic https://mail.pictolic.com/article/design-hotel-basiliani-neolithic-in-a-modern-wrapper.htmlIn the heart of the ancient Italian city of Matera, there is an unusual hotel that combines modern comfort with the unique atmosphere of antiquity. The city itself has long been known to tourists for its many intricate caves and old stone buildings, and the Basiliani design hotel fully embraces the spirit of the area. Hotels and motels in any other city can not be compared with this unusual structure, because part of it is literally carved into the rock.

4. Despite the ancient origin of the building - it dates back to the Neolithic era - inside it is equipped with maximum comfort for the people living here. This was made possible thanks to the professionalism of the architect Domenico Fiore, who put a lot of effort into ennobling the interior.

5. Working on the design of the hotel, the architect tried to keep intact its appearance, which carries a historical value. At the same time, high-quality repairs were made in all the internal premises of the hotel, which allows you to receive visitors at the highest level.

6. The design of the rooms is designed in minimalist black and white, only in some places diluted with bright red accents. The designer left the inner cave vaults almost unchanged, which does not allow visitors to forget what an ancient place they are in. At the same time, the ancient masonry perfectly coexists with modern plumbing and plastic windows. The furniture in the rooms is chosen so as not to distract attention from the grandeur of antiquity surrounding the residents - it is very simple and modest, but at the same time comfortable and functional.

7. Staying in such an extraordinary hotel makes an unforgettable impression on its visitors, the lack of which has never been here.
