He filled the entire parquet floor with tears in the men's and women's halls" — so it is sung in an old children's song. Unfortunately, the situation described by the wonderful Soviet poet Eduard Uspensky is found in real life.
The parents of 14-year-old Owen Thomas from Wales, England, barely managed to lure their son into a barber chair for the second time in his life. The master was somewhat puzzled, but he coped with his work with honor.
The teenager, who passionately wanted to be like surfers from television series, did not give himself a haircut for 10 years. It wouldn't have been so sad if young Owen had taken care of his hair, but the boy, who suffers from autism, completely denied the need to keep order on his head.
As a result, the young man's hairstyle turned into a dirty matted tangle, more like felt. Since the child was terrified of scissors, he preferred to endure the discomfort and ridicule of classmates, but did not allow hairdressers to approach him. Even a family friend who worked in a barbershop failed to cut the future surfer's hair.
Owen's parents got tired of listening to the teachers' comments and answering the neighbors' questions, and they began to insist on going to the hairdresser. The boy was told that his dream of having long hair would not come true if he continued to ignore hygiene rules and treat his hair carelessly.
After exhausting arguments and persuasions, the child was persuaded to get a haircut. The teenager 's father later told about it like this:
The master showed maximum accuracy and professionalism. He tried to keep as much hair as possible and acted slowly and with caution. First he cut his hair, which was damaged and broke like dry straw. Then he took a trimmer and began to shave the areas where the strands were strayed into a solid array.
Anthony, the teenager's father, said that the haircut process was like removing the shell from an egg. He did not believe until the last moment that the barber would be able to save at least some hair on his son's head. But everything went well and Owen appeared before his parents with a short, neat haircut, without the slightest trace of the former nightmare on his head.
The boy bravely endured a long and not too pleasant procedure and was pleasantly surprised by his new image. He did not give up the idea of becoming like courageous guys conquering the waves, but promised the hairdresser and parents to comb their hair and use special shampoos and conditioners when washing.
Without a doubt, the hairstyle greatly affects how a particular person is perceived. Pranksters from the DesignCrowd community changed something on the heads of famous personalities using Photoshop and got an interesting and funny result.
