Young Hungarian patriots in a military camp

In Hungary, there is a private military camp where children of 10-15 years old live the hard life of a soldier for a whole week, feeling all the hardships of adult military life.

The military summer camp in Mogyorod, Hungary is a private project that every year involves hundreds of children and teenagers aged 10 to 15 years old. Some are attracted by the military way of life, the militarism that is present in Hungarian society thanks to the imperial past and memories of the fascist and communist periods. Others are drawn here by their parents (mostly Hungarian nationalists) to introduce their children to an unforgiving adult world where there are no emotions, but only honesty and discipline.

1. For a week, these children live in tents, learn from experienced soldiers, learn more about their homeland and laws, stay awake at night, carrying guards, learn to use a decommissioned AK-47 assembled in Czechoslovakia, and even undergo military exercises according to the scenario " gas attack.

2. For these children, it will be a week of strict orders, strenuous physical exercise, discipline training, and eating processed foods.

3. This is a place where no one pays attention to weakness or vulnerability.

4. No questions are asked here about the correctness of educational methods.

5. Young soldiers, who have already experienced the call of the Motherland, live an adult life for seven days.

6. On the other hand, these skeptical boys will become more obedient, more humble, and in time become disciplined young patriots of a great Hungary that will one day return to the status it once enjoyed.
