Young Alice: portraits of children by Lewis Carroll
Lewis Carroll, whose real name is Charles Latwidge Dodgson, is a writer who became famous thanks to the children's books "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice through the Looking Glass", mathematician, philosopher. In addition, Carroll, it turns out, was a photographer and made many beautiful portraits — three thousand photographs, including portraits of the English actress Ellen Terry and the poet Alfred Tennyson. Only a third of his works have come down to us.

Carroll photographed children a lot, including half-naked, with the permission of their mothers. There is still debate whether there was anything reprehensible in his behavior and actions. In the memories, not a single girl had even a hint of sexual overtones.
Shortly before his 66th birthday, Lewis Carroll caught a cold, came down with pneumonia and died.
