Florence-based photographer Eleonora Costi has spent the past four years photographing abandoned villas across Italy and abandoned buildings in other countries. There are many sinister photos of abandoned pianos in empty houses in her collection. In her opinion, the piano gives the abandoned places an indescribable charm and a drop of mystery, and helps us to hear the quiet music of other times.
