During the lockdown, he even managed to create his own startup. This is the son of my mother's friend!

12-year-old Mike Wimmer (Mike Wimmer) from North Carolina used the time of lockdown to his advantage and additionally took lessons. Very soon, he will graduate twice in one week.
Wimmer completed a 4-year program at the school in one year – two years of high school and a two-year associate's degree. He will graduate from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College on May 21, and Concord Academy High School on May 28, where he will give his graduation speech.

Despite being several years younger than his classmates, Wimmer gets along well with them. The boy is interested in robotics, he calls himself a "mathematician and naturalist".
Mike gained almost all of his programming and robotics knowledge through his own trial and error and online videos. He always had a craving for technology – his parents bought his first iPad when he was 18 months old, and even then the kid began to wonder how the gadget works.

The prodigy also created his own startup called Reflect Social, which combines popular social media platforms with Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Wimmer's goal for a startup is to simplify the operation of smart home technologies, and the ultimate goal is to help other people.

Now Mike, together with his parents, decides what he will do next: he has prospects to go to work in the United States or abroad, go to university or fight for a grant for the development of a startup.
