The first line of the Moscow Metro opened on May 15, 1935 and ran from Sokolniki station to Park Kultury station. Since then, 14 lines and more than two hundred stations have appeared, 48 of which are recognized as objects of cultural heritage, and another 40-architectural monuments. Here are pictures from the municipal archive of Trondheim, Norway, which show the Moscow Metro in the year of its opening.
