The sisters literally occupy the territory near the room of the newly-made wife. This continues until the groom gives each of them a certain amount of money or a gift.

2. When the "ransom ceremony" ends, the girls still let the husband into the room with his lawful wife. Young people are finally left alone and can enjoy each other's company.

But this time is not only for comfort but first of all, for acquaintance. Since the tradition of choosing grooms and brides by parents is still relevant in India, sometimes the husband and wife hardly know each other.

According to traditional customs, a happy newly-made wife is waiting for conception in the first few weeks after marriage. Such "zeal" in the process of reproducing heirs is due not only to the desire of the newlyweds but also to parental claims.

5. Older relatives are always interested in the life of the young. If in the first few months, there is no news about the wife's pregnancy, then various unpleasant suspicions begin to spread around the family.
