But upon closer examination, it becomes clear that these are real paintings "for the spite of the day", the plots of which are peeped in real life. At the same time, their plot is not always obvious – Olga likes to play with the viewer, forcing him to fantasize and, sometimes, putting him on the wrong track.
(Careful! Nude).
Olga Fedorova uses 3D graphics to create her unusual paintings, although she came to this modern art direction from classical painting. For the first time, the artist tried to create three-dimensional paintings in 2015, and it was a forced experiment that unexpectedly turned out to be successful.
Six years ago, Olga had a difficult period of life when she had to move a lot. She didn't have a studio, or just a convenient room to place an easel and paints there, but she always had a computer with her. Gradually, Fedorova mastered the programs Daz Studio, 3ds Max, ZBrush, After Effects, which now help her to create.
Looking at Olga's paintings, it is not always possible to say with confidence that we understand their essence. For example, her work Collaboration, made in the form of a carpet, depicts how one girl holds another by the hair with her face over the toilet bowl. It seems that she humiliates her and is about to dip her in the toilet, but the author says that this is not so and in fact the work is dedicated to female friendship and mutual assistance – one of the heroines is just sick.
And another picture of Olga seems to be completely pornographic – a woman is standing with her back to the laptop turned on with her legs apart. Everything becomes clear only when we find out the name of the work – Gynecologist Online. Olga dedicated it to the work of gynecologists who were forced to receive patients online during the pandemic.
In the paintings of the Moscow artist, you can often see her face. Once she scanned herself as a 3D model and now uses the resulting character in her works.
Olga Fedorova's crazy but attractive paintings are popular both in Russia and abroad. The artist's exhibitions were successfully held in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium. Now Olga lives and works in Brussels.
Three-dimensional graphics open up new opportunities for creative people and sometimes very unusual works become the result of their work.
