The pictures of Christy Lee Rogers from Hawaii are distinguished by an unusual style: her works are surprisingly similar to the paintings of the Baroque genius Caravaggio and it's hard to believe that they are not painted in oil on canvas, but made with a camera. Creating such masterpieces is an incredibly difficult creative task, because the unique effect is achieved by submerging models and decorations under water.

Most of the works by Christie Lee Rogers are made at night, under artificial lighting. The photographer uses a variety of classical and self-invented ways of refraction of light to get shots from an amazing, fantastic world.

To get a good shot, Christie sometimes has to experiment for several days, but the result always justifies all the work. Flowers, fabrics, water, light, human bodies and shadows are intertwined in bizarre cycles, each of which symbolizes different moods and thoughts of a person.

Rogers' photographs are known all over the world — her exhibitions have been held in Rome, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Paris, London and Mexico City. Her unusual talent and fashionable glosses were not ignored — the photographer's pictures appeared on the pages of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar Art China, Elle Decorations, Global Times and The Independent.
