Time won't heal: how people change in 30 years

In 1982 photographer Barbara Davatz took pictures of 12 young couples. She hardly imagined that her little personal project will grow into a large study, which will last for 30 years.

Then Barbara took pictures of his characters on a light gray background, while they were looking strictly at the camera. Years later, in 1988, 1997 and 2014, the photographer was again in touch with the heroes of your photos and re-did their portraits in the same conditions. Some couples broke up, others over time have only become stronger. The photographs are clearly seen that over the years changed not only the appearance but also the posture, looks, the way the people in the photographs presented himself to the photographer and to the world. Someone on the portraits of children appeared, someone came up with other partners, some, unfortunately, sometimes come quite alone.

Without revealing any personal information, the series As Time Goes By (eventually) revealed a range of physical and biological changes. It tells the story of life itself: appointments, separations, aging, loss and even a little about genetic inheritance. Photographs became the basis for the publication of an entire book, which at first glance seems very simple. But, as the life of an ordinary man, full of completely unexpected twists.
