These lovers, who have been together for 57 years, have their own "Memory Diary"

Klemma and Sterling Elmore from Oklahoma have been married for 57 years and decided to celebrate their love and devotion with a photo shoot in the style of the film "Diary of Memory". The series of photographs reflects the tender affection that a husband and wife feel for each other, despite a long life together. Such pictures make you believe in love for life.

"He says that when he saw me for the first time, he said, 'This is the girl I'm going to marry,'" Klemma said. The Elmores got married after she jokingly asked Sterling if he would be her husband.

The photo shoot inspired by the love story from the painting "Diary of Memory" is the work of photographer Stacy Welch—Christ, the sister-in-law of their granddaughter. "We thought it would be a special gift for them, a memory of the photo shoot itself and pictures. We literally melted after the first frame. They love each other so much... it was absolutely natural," says the photographer.

After the pictures were posted on Facebook, they were shared more than 41 thousand times, and the response was very positive: users are inspired by love.

"We are overwhelmed with feelings. It just caught us ... we are just shocked by the comments," Klemma shared her impressions of the photo shoot. According to her, they even began to recognize her and her husband in the store.

The Elmores are wearing real 1940s clothes, and they are shot against the background of a retro car.

Also, the photo shoot involved real letters that they wrote to each other. As in the "Diary of Memory".
