The web designer named his son HTML and this is not the only strange name in the family

Categories: Children

Once upon a time, children were named after saints and leaders. This was supposed to bring the child happiness and well-being. But today this is not relevant – trends have changed significantly in the direction of technology. Filipino web designer Mac Pascual named his son HTML and is confident that this will help his child take a worthy place in life.

Pascual decided to name the baby after the HTML page markup language for two reasons. First, in his opinion, such a name will give his son the right direction in life and encourage him to work in the field of web design. And secondly, it is customary in the family to give children unusual names – this is the tradition.

By the way, Mac Pascual's full name is Macaroni 85, and one of his sisters received the name Spaghetti 88 at birth. The number after the name indicates the year of birth of the child – it is possible that in large Filipino families this numbering is relevant, so as not to forget how old the baby is.

Spaghetti 88 also did not break the tradition and took full revenge on her children. Her two young sons are named Parmesan Cheese and Pimiento Cheese. In the Philippines, kids are often called babies, inspired by geographical names, the names of action heroes or car brands. But the case in Pascual's family turned out to be unusual even for this country and attracted the attention of Internet users.

The Filipino announced the decision to name his son HTML on his Facebook page and his post quickly went viral. The name of the child is actively discussed and to someone it seems great, and to someone frankly stupid. But it is a good thing that Pascual does not live in Italy, otherwise he could have been obliged to change his name to a more euphonious one, as happened to one couple whose daughter's name was considered "not too feminine".
