Evgenia Maksimova was born in the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the banks of the Danube. She graduated from the University of Vienna, where she studied journalism and communications. Evgenia is a talented self-taught photographer. The sudden death of her mother, a famous Bulgarian artist, prompted her to master the subtleties of photography on her own.

"This mysterious process — when I look through the viewfinder and press the shutter button-helps me overcome the shock, dull the pain and transfer the heartbreaking reality of the feeling of loss. A lot of time has passed, and photography has gradually become my favorite way of expressing myself. For me, this is now the main way to share my feelings and perception of the reality around me with the world, " says Yevgenia.
