Mihai Danciu said that his last memory is going to a pub in Albesti, Romania, and then arguing with friends that he will be able to get a job. After that, the man woke up face down in the courtyard of a house in central London covered in bruises. Mihai said he was shocked when he heard that everyone around him was speaking English. Still suffering from a hangover, the man was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, where a Romanian nurse convinced him that he really was in London.

Nurse Adina Kostache posted Mihai's story on Facebook to help the man figure out how he ended up so far from home. At first, Mihai couldn't even remember his name. But his identity was confirmed immediately after his photo hit the Internet.

Romanian media confirmed that Mihai was last seen with friends in a pub in Albesti. The man's neighbors said that he lived with his wife and children in the house of his wife's grandparents. He often said that he wanted to find a job, but a week ago he suddenly disappeared.
Local media reported that the authorities would help the man return home.
