The fact that a new uniform will be introduced at the school, Director Toshitsugu Wada announced back in November 2017. But what exactly this form will be, it became known only now. The price of a set of clothes from a jacket, trousers, shirt and hat for boys is $ 395, a set with a skirt and blouse for girls will cost $ 422. And if you additionally take a sweater, a vest, socks and a satchel, also from Armani, then parents will have to pay almost $ 800. Parents of students do not want to buy a uniform that is several times more expensive than usual, but the director is adamant.

According to Toshitsugu Wada, the existing version of the form is no longer being produced, so the introduction of a new form could not be postponed. The management of the educational institution contacted various clothing manufacturers and settled on Armani.

The new uniform angered not only the parents of the students, but also the Japanese public. The discussion reached the Japanese Parliament. Opposition representative Manabu Terada questioned the logic of introducing such an expensive uniform in a public school where children from different backgrounds study. Finance Minister Taro Aso admitted that clothes are too expensive for elementary school.

As a result, Education Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi promised that the ministry would take measures so that "the burden placed on parents in connection with the purchase of uniforms was not excessive."

According to the school administration, the new uniform will be introduced in April 2018 for students who will enter the school. Children who are already studying there will be able to wear the old uniform. But parents understand that they will have to buy a uniform so that children do not become outcasts at school, and they still hope that the director's decision can be changed.
