"The joys of family life": a photo project about a very bad mother

The artist, photographer, wife and mother of two children presented the concept of traditional family photography in her own way with the help of a series of scandalous-looking pictures called "The Joys of Family Life" (Domestic Bliss).

After many years in the role of a sacrificial mother, paying almost all her attention to her daughters, taking an infinite number of pictures that never had her, Susan Kopich came up with a unique photo project. What if you turn the camera lens in the opposite direction, at yourself, in order to rediscover yourself as a person and demonstrate emotional sincerity?

Each photo from the series "The Joys of Family Life" is what Susan herself calls a "shadow turn of events." A touch of gloom is her boldest decision, which changes the general idea of what family happiness is.
