There is a new craze in Japan: pet owners make up their furry friends using a mobile application. And it looks creepy. It's like these cats and dogs are going to participate in a travesty show.

The application called Perfect365 was originally invented in order to try on different images and make-up options for people, but recently it has been increasingly used for pets.

The program determines the location of the eyes, mouth and nose, and then applies an impressive layer of virtual cosmetics, including false eyelashes and bright lipstick. Judging by these pictures, the application also has a wide selection of wigs.

Perhaps this is the strangest trend among dog and cat owners that we have seen this year. The results resemble a strange mixture of Grandma's favorite kitty and David Bowie. Nevertheless, it is impossible to take your eyes off it.
