The editorial board of LIFE magazine of the 1940s teaches how to kiss properly

PictolicThere are not so many exciting moments in life as the first kiss. So the editors of LIFE magazine in 1942, it seems, thought the same way and released a guide with illustrations on how to kiss properly.
The photo guide clearly shows how "right" and "wrong" to do it, and, of course, everything is in the spirit of the 1940s. In the photos, you can see the key moments of romantic activity (if you approach the matter from the point of view of science): for example, how to indulge in a pleasant action on a chair (the girl should sit on the handle, and the young man should stand) or how to choose the right distance between himself and his partner.
"Wrong: they look just like teenagers at this distance when kissing."
"That's right: a young man and a girl should stand close and hug each other not too tightly."
"It's wrong: it's ugly and inelegant to fall apart on a chair like that."
"That's right: the girl should sit on the arm of the chair, and the young man should easily but resolutely support her."
