As time went on, Kelly met James Garvin, and they fell in love. Kelly and James, both veterinarians, got married in September this year and really wanted 15-year-old Charlie to be at the wedding. Unfortunately, this year the dog was found to have a brain tumor, and he was very weak. A week before the wedding, he lost consciousness five times, and Kelly was preparing for his euthanasia.

However, during the wedding week, Charlie did not have a single attack. According to Kelly, he was unrecognizable. And you know what? He walked with the hostess to the altar!

About a week later, on September 9, Charlie was euthanized. He quietly fell asleep in front of the fireplace at home, in the circle of a loving family, so as not to wake up again. "It's been a phenomenal 15 years. That's for sure," says Kelly.
