"I started playing with her about seven years ago when she was a little cub just six inches long," Anderson recalls.
"I cautiously approached her, so as not to scare her, and began to pat her gently. When she got used to me, I began to rock her in my hand and gently talk to her through the regulator valve."
The man has been scuba diving for 27 years and runs a diving school. "In the following seasons, she recognized me and swam up to me so that I stroked and caressed her. Soon she got used to me so much that she swam after me and beat against my legs so that I stretched out my arms and she could lie down in them for stroking."
"Most divers can't believe their eyes when they see it for the first time," says Rick Anderson. "I don't feed her or any of the other sharks I play with. In a nutshell, I treat them like dogs."
