The UK Department of Defense plans to buy 160 of these drones, worth over $31 million. The PD-100 PRS helicopter, codenamed the Black Hornet, is remotely controlled. It was developed by the Norwegian company Prox Dynamics. The drone is a traditional single-rotor helicopter about the size of a toy. British forces use drones for reconnaissance, sending them forward to inspect enemy positions.
