Both professionals and amateurs could participate in the competition without age restrictions. The finalists' works will be published in a special winter issue of Black+White Photography magazine.
The winner in 2018 was British Rachel Talibart with an expressive picture of a surf wave. This work was chosen from many others for its technical excellence and artistry. But other works that have reached the final of the competition deserve attention.
