The artist turned driftwood into beautiful sculptures of moving animals
Sculptor James Doran-Webb has been using pieces of driftwood for more than 10 years to create stunning creatures that look as if they are in motion.
He collects the material to create his magnificent works of art along the banks of rivers in the Philippines, selecting sufficiently dense specimens that can withstand a humid tropical climate for many years, and sometimes frosts.
Webb works extremely meticulously, combining many small fragments that mimic hair or fur. The energy lines created by him hold the eye in an amazing way and make it possible to immediately understand the incredible power of these animals.
