Dmitry Samokhin is a Ukrainian tattoo artist, lives and works in Odessa, but became famous all over the world for his masterpiece tattoos. Only once having seen the work of the master, fans of tattoos dream of getting into a session with him. And all because in this craft, Dmitry managed to achieve an incredible level of skill.

1. Dmitry became interested in art from the age of five. And when he saw a magazine about tattoos, he definitely decided that he wanted to become a tattoo artist. But not simple. “I wanted the drawings on the skin to look about the same as the drawings on the canvas,” says the artist. Perhaps that is why each of his works is exceptionally beautiful and unique: the perfect balance of movement, space, contrast and color.

2. “They come to Odessa specifically for tattoos, and ordinary people go. For example, a man from Australia came to me, an ordinary hard worker. He saw my work, saved up money, found out where Ukraine is, and came. I made him a skull in the Japanese style. They come from Russia, from Germany. Some then two or three times for new tattoos, while others come again as tourists, because they liked the city.”
