Stereoscopic images of the First World War, found in the attic

A Toronto photography studio stumbled upon a stereoscopic camera and photo slides depicting World War I scenes. These photos were taken in the trenches, on the streets and battlefields. The amazing footage, taken with a hand-held stereoscopic camera called "Verascope", was taken by soldiers of the French army. The camera was preserved intact, and the original leather case and glass slides were also found with it. Each slide is a piece of history in photographs. Visitors to A Nerd's World photography studio in Toronto can use a special 3D viewer to view these slides. You don't need it - we invite you to see these amazing slides here and now.

25. And he is still smiling after so many years! These photos were taken by this Veroscope, created in the 19th century by Jules Richard. This chamber, which belonged to the soldiers of the French army, has survived to this day in its original form.
