Shrek's story - an abandoned dog who found a home

Categories: Animals

Thanks to the help of a veterinary clinic and caring people, this poor fellow was saved and found a new home.

The dog, nicknamed Shrek because of his matted dirty "mane", has found a new home and many fans around the world. The husband of Dr. Brenda Gow found Shrek in the forest in Ontario, and then the dog was practically unable to move. His dense coat was matted, his paws were covered with calluses, and a growth formed on his eye.

At the Park Road veterinary clinic, he was sheared 1.6 kg of wool, under which turned out to be quite a pretty 6-year-old hybrid of a poodle and a lap dog. And although Shrek was scared and shy, his health was on the mend, and he began to gradually get used to the company of people and other dogs.
