It got its name from the highest peak of the park in particular and the country as a whole - the extinct volcano Saham, whose "growth" is 6542 meters. In addition to its impressive height, it has a beautiful cone-shaped shape, and this is exactly what an ideal volcano should look like in my opinion. Sahama is not the only peak of the park: almost the entire territory along the perimeter is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. There is also a valley of geysers, thermal springs, lakes and a small village where you can stop to see all of the above.”
