Records in Romanian: pickpocket stole 53 phones in one evening using a swimsuit

22-year-old Alin Marin from Romania managed to set a kind of record by stealing more than 50 mobile phones in one evening. This skillful pickpocket worked at a rock concert in Birmingham, and hid the loot in a tight swimsuit under his clothes.

A few days ago, the trial of a serial pickpocket from Romania ended in the UK. A 22-year-old construction worker, who was detained with 53 stolen phones after a concert by the rock duo Royal Blood, was sentenced to three years in prison by the Birmingham Royal Court.

The incident itself occurred during a rock performance at the Birmingham Arena on November 18. Cruising in a crowd of dancing fans, a Romanian citizen who has no permanent residence in the UK, stole mobile phones and hid them one by one in a special compression swimsuit. Unfortunately for the pickpocket, all this time he was being watched by the police, who did not allow him to keep the loot with him and detained him when leaving the concert hall.

Many of the phones were stolen from the front pockets of jeans, which are considered the safest place for valuables, but people simply did not understand that they were being robbed because of loud music and jostling. In turn, the British police once again reminded citizens of the need to be vigilant in public places.

This year, such records have already been set by valiant representatives of the "Romanian national team": two citizens of this country stole 62 mobile phones during one of the concerts in Spain in the summer. It took them two hours to commit the crime. But Alin Marin wiped his nose at them. However, he sat down for three years.
