In Italy, there are eight mosques for every 1.45 million Muslims. In the wealthy, migrant-attracting northeastern regions, anti-Islamic sentiment is so strong that it is virtually impossible to get permission to build a mosque there - people have to equip houses of worship in the most unsuitable places.
