The posters were created by a group of Legally Black activists who are fighting "how black people are portrayed in the media." However, they didn't hang the posters around the city.

Among the paintings, posters for which activists have hung around the city, there are "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", "007: Skyfall Coordinates", "Titanic" and other famous tapes. Each poster bears the inscription: "If you are surprised, then you have seen too few films where the main roles are played by blacks."
Some perceived the activists' action negatively.
The posters were hung at bus stops by the organization Special Patrol Group, which specializes in "anti-advertising". Members of the organization found posters on the Internet, printed them out and pasted them around the city.
