Photos from behind the scenes of the 1982 film Pink Floyd - The Wall

On November 30, 1979, the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Pink Floyd - The Wall (Rus. "Wall") was released. This is the last release of the band recorded in a classic line-up: David Gilmour (guitar), Roger Waters (bass), Nick Mason (drums) and Richard Wright (keyboards). In support of the record, a tour was organized, which included complex theatrical productions. And already in 1982, a film adaptation of the recording followed — the feature film "The Wall".

This film is just notable for the fact that the script for it was written by Roger Waters based on the Pink Floyd album of the same name. The tape includes game and animation episodes in which the present and memories of the main character — Pink Floyd, his fantasies and metaphorical images that convey the state of the character are mixed. The video sequence is accompanied by Pink Floyd songs, mostly coinciding with the content of the album. A minor part of the songs has been omitted, tracks missing from the album have been added, the text has been changed in places. The animation in the film is made by animator and cartoonist Gerald Scarfe.
