Aaron Draper takes brightly lit portraits of the Californian homeless. In his "Invisibles" series, he tries to film the "homeless" so that they look "as visually appealing as possible". The photographer is literally trying to shed light on the faces of people whom we often try to ignore and not notice.

“I use lighting to get the viewer interested in the subject, and leave unnecessary details in the shadows,” says Draper.

According to endhomelessness.org, there were 578,424 homeless people in the United States in 2014, of which 50,000 were homeless veterans.
