My baby but not my baby

25-year-old photographer Callie Mitchell made the decision to give her newborn baby into the hands of foster parents. She recorded the whole process of carrying her child, childbirth and the moment of transferring her baby into the hands of a new father and mother. Sad story.

“My name is Callie Mitchell. I am a 25 year old photographer from Cedar Rapids and I have a dream to travel the world to capture the little moments that people usually don't pay attention to. But my plans collapsed in one moment. A spontaneous incident that led to unplanned life changes. Not a mistake. More like a surprise. No matter how much the father of the child and I loved each other, there was no chance for us to be together because of my constant lies. So I gave this wonderful creature into the hands of people who will love it as much as I would, and give it the care that I could not give. I'm sad to admit it, but it's only my fault. I lived wrong. Now this is my baby, but not my child.
