The hotel where the ceremony was supposed to take place canceled the armor due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, and it was also forbidden to celebrate a special day in a tent in the garden. But the couple found a way out: they held an original wedding at McDonald's, bypassing all quarantine rules.
Melissa, 27, who works at McDonald's, told her boss about the difficulties they had to face. To her surprise, the boss suggested that they have a wedding in their department in Motherwell, North Lancashire.
Melissa was dressed in a snow-white Greek-style dress, and Shannon was dressed in a luxurious black outfit.
The couple and the guests were very pleased with how the festive day went.
The wedding was held on October 31. The newly married couple made most of the decorations for the holiday with their own hands. At the entrance to the McDonald's, guests were greeted by a piper.
Meanwhile, a woman with Down syndrome, who had worked all her life at McDonald's, was being treated to a fun party for retirement. The American woman has been working in a fast food restaurant in Massachusetts since 1984.
