Clara van de Puttelar has a deep love for the recognized Dutch masters. Positioning herself as a contemporary artist, she works with the nude style and often shoots portraits. When the Rembrandt House Museum asked the photographer to create a new series of photographs, she enthusiastically agreed.

Models from the paintings of the great master inspired Clara to create her own series of photographs called "Rembrandt Series".

Women in her photographs are closed in their perfect beauty and alienated from the viewer.

“His incredible paintings and etchings reflect not only skillful technique and personality, but also mastery of light, shadow and composition. These are strong black and white contrasts, elaborate costumes and draperies that create the most powerful visual images,” Clara says in the description of the series.
