Škofja Loka (Škofja Loka) is the most beautiful preserved medieval town in Slovenia
"This city with a thousand-year history is located at the confluence of the Polyansk Sora and Selshka Sora rivers. For 830 years it was the center of the possessions of the bishops of Freising, which left a peculiar imprint on its architecture. There are many historical sites in the city that attract thousands of tourists every year. Its rich cultural heritage is only emphasized by the untouched nature, which is why it was named "Gallery in Nature". A small town, but with its own unique atmosphere and energy," says Stanislav Kaznov.

Getting off the bus at the bus station and turning the corner, almost immediately I found myself on one of the charming bridges, from which magical views opened…

Some houses seemed to slide into the river or, conversely, get out of it… It's magical.

The weather turned out to be gloomy, but, as it turned out later, it could not spoil my impression of the city.

Flowers in the windows that have already become familiar to me in the Balkans. Here is another criterion for the friendliness of citizens. The bars on the windows or flowers are a conscious choice.

Some streets are quite narrow, and windows are usually open everywhere…

The city "makes" color! Living in a "colored" city is really cool!

Even the shabbiness of old houses becomes invisible against the background of color "spots"…

There are not enough store signs, advertising and wires…

Buddhist mantras someone hung on the windows…

The sun came out for a while…

I was lucky, and, apparently, because of the rainy weather, there were practically no tourists…

The shops near the Castle are very beautiful.

The hill offers beautiful views of the surrounding settlements.

I have always liked the cities on the relief for their photogenicity…

Stopped and saw it…

And again, as in most other cities, there are practically no rusty roofs.

Monuments, monuments and various urban "artifacts" of Catholic origin are everywhere here.

And I finished my inspection of the city from another, parallel bridge. The impressions were very pleasant. Half a day is well worth spending on a visit to Shkofya-Loki. She deserves it!
