She created the project "Epidermis", in which she challenged the attitude of society towards people with skin defects. The series includes 20 portraits of women from all over the UK with various skin diseases. They pose like real models for glamorous shots, but without clothes and makeup.
Look further at the best works from the unusual photo project and find out what inspired Sophie to create it.Looking at these women in their natural state, we understand that there is beauty in imperfection too. We are not used to seeing such candid photos in the traditional media space, so they are even more impressive.
Sophie Harris-Taylor believes that the concept of normality is determined by the images we see around us. We were led to consider women with perfect skin the norm, but in reality this is far from the case.
Beauty is more than just appearance. Photographer Cesar Lima shoots models and ordinary people with rare skin diseases for the project "Unusual Beauty" to show their originality and uniqueness.
