Joshua Hayden, 19, was out hunting with his brother in a car near Kellerberrin in western Australia. Hayden said he noticed three kangaroos and leaned out of the window to shoot. At this time, one kangaroo disappeared, and while Hayden was aiming at the other two, suddenly jumped out and attacked the car. The animal hit the car with such force that it smashed the windshield, and then sent Hayden to a knockout.
Hayden lost consciousness from the blow, and when he came to, he was taken to the hospital. The doctors said that the guy's face was very swollen and it would not work to operate on the "kangaroo creation", they would have to wait ten days.

Hayden said that he often hunts kangaroos with his brother, but it was the first time he had snatched a face from an animal.
