How to take amazing photos in Moscow and St. Petersburg

To capture the entire cathedral, you need to take a picture from the Patriarchal Bridge. Another magnificent view of Russia's main cathedral opens up from Bersenevskaya Embankment near the bridge on the opposite bank of the Moskva River, where you can also get a great selfie opportunity on the terrace of the Strelka Bar.

Intercession Cathedral (also known as St. Basil's Cathedral) differs from most other Russian Orthodox churches in that it does not have a primary and secondary side - it is equally beautiful from all sides. The same goes for photographing the Central Pavilion: it is best to capture it at the gate.

Beautiful photographs of the Moscow City business district and its skyscrapers can be obtained from the Taras Shevchenko embankment, in particular, from the observation deck located at the foot of Tower 2000. The photo taken from there will show the elegant Evolution Tower in the foreground.

Stunning photographs, capturing the entire space of the central square of St. Petersburg, can be taken at the General Staff building and before entering Nevsky Prospekt. For example, from Palace Embankment (near the Hermitage) or from the Arrow of Hare Island (near the Peter and Paul Fortress). A good view of the "postcard" opens from the Trinity Bridge. In turn, the spit of Vasilyevsky Island itself offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city - the buildings of the Hermitage and the Peter and Paul Fortress, as well as the neoclassical Birzhevaya Square.

A full-size picture of the cathedral (together with the monument to Nicholas I) can be taken from St. Isaac's Square from the side of the building of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg and the widest Blue Bridge in the city. Taking into account that the view of the square itself and the panorama of the historical part of the city can be beautifully captured from the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral.
