PictolicOne day, a Pakistani woman, Sarah Shakil, had a life crisis. A depressed girl wanted to paint the world around her with sequins and rainbows, and she began to glue them on stretch marks on her body and old photos and spread a positive attitude to the natural moments of human life under the hashtag #glitterstretchmarks. Well, now she has 1 million subscribers, and she cooperates with brands such as Emirates, Bally, Swarovski.
Pakistani digital artist Sara Shakeel transforms ordinary photos into brilliant landscapes and sparkling diamond images. And it all started with a photo in which she decided not to retouch stretch marks on the female body, but to show how beautiful they are, because they are an absolutely normal part of any woman's life.
After that photo, others appeared, and the former dentist, having retrained into an artist, began to create "diamond" photo manipulations, encrusting everything that is possible in her surreal world.
Sarah Shakil is a self-taught artist, successfully remaking boring old photos into bright, covered with sequins; making them sparkle and shine with crystals, rainbows and diamonds as a means of healing her soul from professional burnout.
As a result, she got the Bodyglitters project, consisting of models with shiny stretch marks on the body, distributed with the hashtag #glitterstretchmarks on social networks to push people to rethink this image of the female body.
The project, by the way, gave her a direction in the field of photo editing. Sarah started gluing sequins on wax and after a while received likes from Emirates, Swiss brands Bally and Swarovski, as well as the Glamour of Italy award.
