By Pictolic https://mail.pictolic.com/article/how-people-help-loved-ones-with-the-help-of-photos.htmlNew York-based photographer Bob Carey first took his beautiful and bizarre pictures a few years ago after his wife Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer. According to him, he was driven by the desire to help her cope with the test: "When Linda goes to treatment, she will take the photos on her phone with her - and she will look at them with other women and laugh."
Let's look at these ridiculous, but kind and, most importantly, necessary photos.
(Total 10 photos)
1. Bob travels around America and takes self-portraits in a pink tutu.
2. The amount of positive feedback and the recovery of his wife made Bob think about continuing to take pictures. The idea was called the Tutu Project and developed as a so-called "viral" project.
3.
4. Now the community dedicated to the project on Facebook has 78 thousand subscribers.
5. Bob also publishes a calendar with photos, which can be purchased on the official website of the project.
6.
7. All the proceeds from it go to the accounts of the Carey Foundation, which helps women diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as those who have overcome the disease, and their families.
8. “Cancer taught us that life is good, but it can be hard to deal with,” explains Carey, “and sometimes the best, and even the only thing we can do to get through another day is to laugh at ourselves and share laughing with others."
9.
10. According to Google, in recent months, online interest in the project has grown markedly and continues to increase at the time of publication of this text.
