Hey Van Gogh, let me spend the night!

In anticipation of the Van Gogh Rooms exhibition, the Art Institute of Chicago decided to go beyond showing original paintings by Vincent van Gogh. The Dutchman created as many as three separate paintings of his own room, and the organizers of the exhibition made one of them a reality. Now any fan of Van Gogh's work has the opportunity to book the artist's bedroom on Airbnb and spend the night there in the spirit of post-impressionism.

The bedroom paintings were created by Vincent van Gogh between 1888 and 1889. The first of three was painted by the Dutchman after moving to the Yellow House in Arles, France. Shortly after completion, the first version of the "Bedroom at Arles" was damaged during the flood of the Rhone. Some time later, in September 1889, Van Gogh wrote the second version of the "Bedroom", which differed from the first in some details. Another reduced copy of the painting was created by the artist for his mother and sister in the summer of the same year.

The room, modeled after the "Bedroom at Arles" by the Institute of Chicago, is located outside the museum in the River Knot district and is part of a large apartment. The prototype repeats the picture in the smallest detail. A day will cost guests $ 10. Agree, not such a big price for the opportunity to spend the night with the legendary old Vincent.
