Tress became interested in the topic of children's fears in the 1960s, at the same time the first pictures were taken. In his works, he used not just a simplified adult idea of what children are afraid of. He talked to each child personally and tried to feel as deeply as possible the inexplicable that really scares them.
The place didn't matter. Arthur communicated with his inspirers at schools, on playgrounds and even in the neighbor's yard. Right on the spot, he offered children to embody their fear literally from improvised materials. They themselves told about their horrors, and then they became their embodiments.
"Dreamcatcher" is a combination of dreams themselves, mystical archetypes, fairy tales, horror films, imagination games and quite a bit of humor.
