New York Times Magazine photo editor Stacy Baker's Citilegs project focuses on the role of women's feet in the city. Baker asked women passing by for permission to photograph their legs against the backdrop of New York. She says that she herself was worried about the shape of her legs, but during the work on the project she noticed that it was crooked and “ugly” legs that made it possible to take more expressive pictures.
